**Assistant Plant Manager Required** to join the souths leading Plant, Construction, and Civils Utilities companies at their site based near Hatfield.

Our client provides expert services within the Plant, Transport, Construction and Civil Utilities sector, and work with a number of customers across the south of England. In this role you will be reporting to the Plant & Transport Manager, your direct reports will be all Plant Personnel

Assistant Plant Manager Responsibilities

• Responsible for aiding with the managing of day-to-day operations of the Plant department.
• Reporting to Plant & Transport Manager with top line information, relevant report and other critical information
• Identifying appropriate supply chain partners to provide compliance plant/equipment.
• Ensure the department activities are compliant with all Health, Safety, Environmental and Legislative requirements (Puwer /Lowler).
• Oversees cost control and KPI performance, actively seeking to improve efficiency, reduce operating costs, meeting budget as a minimum.
• Monitoring performance to ensure all objectives are met and problems are anticipated and resolved.
• Collaborate effectively with other Heads of Departments to achieve overall goals using shared resources.
• Complete performance and development reviews for direct reports.
• Produce regular/ad hoc reports on performance / costs, monitor departmental budgets and assist in defining annual operating and capital budgets.
• Ensures appropriate MI is in place for optimal management of the driver fleet and plant/equipment availability, consistently meeting reporting requirements

Assistant Plant Manager Position Requirements

• Previous experience working in either a supervisory / management position within the Plant industry.
• The ability to identify and develop processes within operations
• The ability to be able to communicate effectively with stakeholders
• Experience using Power BI (Desirable)
• Experience using Insphire (Desirable)
