Magic Care Moments Ltd is seeking a passionate and experienced Assistant Manager to join our dynamic team in Newham. This full-time role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities and/or Autism. The Assistant Manager will work closely with the Manager to oversee various support services and projects, ensuring high standards of care and support across the organisation.

Our projects delivers excellent service to Children, Adult and Elderly with special care needs diagnosed with autism, learning disabilities and complex care and support needs.

Salary: £29,000 per annum, plus benefits.

Hours: 40 hours per week, including a mix of shifts, some weekends, and bank holidays.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Manager in developing and managing new and existing projects.
  • Conduct assessments and design personalised support plans to meet individual needs.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality care and support, adhering to all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Supervise and motivate a diverse staff team, conducting appraisals and facilitating professional development.
  • Manage safe recruitment practices, including on-boarding and induction of new staff.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients’ families, carers, and other support services.
  • Utilise a variety of digital platforms and maintain strong administrative and communication skills to achieve organisational goals.
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety, Care Act, CQC regulations, and other relevant legislation and policies.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Proven experience in supporting individuals with learning disabilities and/or Autism.
  • To embrace diversity and promote inclusivity throughout program activities.
  • To maintain accurate records of program activities and participant progress.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in staff supervision and team motivation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to adapt to various digital tools.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to meet objectives within set timescales.
  • Knowledge of recruitment, staff development, and performance management processes.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, diversity, and equality principles and strong working knowledge of Health and Safety, Care Act, CQC regulations, and other relevant legislation.
  • Level 5 diploma in health and social care for Adult and Children.
  • 2 Years experience in similar role.
