Job Title: Assistant Manager, General Practice

Location: St Ives, Cambridgeshire

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent



ProTalent is working with a reputable accountancy practice in St Ives, Cambridgeshire to recruit an Assistant Manager for their general practice firm.  The Senior Accountant will manage a portfolio of private clients, including high net worth individuals and small-medium company directors, providing high-quality compliance services. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a supportive and dynamic team.

Responsibilities:

- Provide accounting services, tax returns, and special services for clients with fees exceeding £120,000.

- Develop and manage client relationships, identifying opportunities for additional services.

- Review and finalise client accounts and management accounts, utilizing accounting software.

- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, review VAT returns, and submit to HMRC.

- Review company secretarial work and statutory books as required.

- Oversee junior staff, delegate tasks effectively, and foster a positive team spirit.

- Undertake general administration tasks and support partners and managers.

Requirements:

- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).

- Experience in an accountancy practice.

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax compliance, and VAT regulations.

- Proficiency in accounting software and relevant applications.

- Excellent client management, communication, and deadline management skills.

- Proactive team player with attention to detail.
