We are delighted to be partnering with this fast-growing PE backed manufacturing business with a UK Head Office based in south of Manchester in the appointment of an assistant management accountant

Reporting into the Finance Director you will undertake standard costing work and inventory management to support strategic and operational decision making within the business.

You will be responsible for reviewing, understanding, challenging and explaining manufacturing cost variances with support.

Duties include:

• Provide regular reporting on stock management and stockholding.
• Monitor and analyse manufacturing costs and associated variance analysis.
• Complete associated month end processes to strict deadlines..
• Ensure the reconciliation of relevant balance sheet accounts (Stock, Provision and GRNI) to the general ledger, including the timely input of accruals and journals.
• Work closely with the manufacturing managers to ensure they understand the impact their actions have to the company's profitability and cashflow.

YOU

• Proven experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment, with exposure to costs
• Ideally studying CIMA / ACCA
• Excellent Excel skills
• Attention to details.

• Salary up to £45,000 DOE
