Astute Recruitment are seeking a part-qualified finance professional to join our Burton based client’s dynamic finance team. As an Assistant Management Accountant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the in-house finance function.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the Management Accountant and Financial Controller in the day-to-day accounting processes
  • Maintain the Fixed Asset Register for each company within the group
  • Perform daily bank reconciliations across multiple accounts
  • Keep up to date schedules such as accruals and prepayments for each accounting period
  • Reconcile control accounts for main ledgers and other debtor/creditor balances
  • Post depreciation/amortization journals
  • Take ownership of trial balances to support your continued technical development
  • Facilitate P&L meetings with relevant managers//budget holders
  • Assist in transitioning the finance function to become a technology-led support service
  • Undertake ad-hoc takes and provide support to ensure the finance team meets the needs of the business

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a finance function, providing various reports including weekly, monthly, and annual reports, management accounts, and statutory accounts
  • Part-qualified in finance-related qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CIMA,ACA)
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in a team and independently
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies

Benefits and hours:

  • Salary up to £29,000
  • Study support after a successful probation period

  • Working hours of 9:00am - 5:00pm
