What you'll do:

This role requires dedication, commitment, and a willingness to take ownership of deadlines.

• Posting of bank entries and reconciling bank accounts
• Processing monthly journals covering areas such as accruals, prepayments and fixed assets
• Performing certain balance sheet reconciliations as determined
• Uploading bank payments
• Providing cover for the transactional finance teams during holidays, sickness and peak times including processing purchase invoices, supplier statement reconciliations and raising supplier payment runs
• Assisting with the year-end audit including gathering of audit support and documentation
• Completing data requests such as ONS returns, ESG reporting and rebates submissions
• Assisting the Management Accountant, GFC or GFD with ad hoc analysis as required
• Taking ownership of deadlines

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Assistant Management Accountant position is someone who is either studying towards or already qualified in AAT, CIMA, ACCA or ACA. You should have recent experience in a transactional finance role and possess strong written and oral communication skills. Your attention to detail and problem-solving skills will be essential in this role. A willingness to learn and develop your career is also crucial. Proficiency in using and manipulating data with MS Excel is a must.
