Assistant Management Accountant

£28,000 - £35,000 + Study Support & Bonus

London, Hybrid

An Assistant Management Accountant is required for a professional property investment company.

This is an ideal role for an eager and aspiring individual looking to pursue a career within the real estate industry. Working closely with the senior management accountant and the wider finance team.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing monthly management accounts for two operational BTR properties, including preparing accruals and prepayments and performing variance analysis of actuals vs budget and complete journal adjustments to correct postings.

  • Ensure accurate and timely generation of resident charges within the property management system.

  • Collaborate with an outsourced accounting services provider to allocate resident payments and perform daily bank reconciliations to ensure accurate recording of cash transactions.

  • Record invoices and process payments for property and company expenses and raise monthly/quarterly invoices for management fees.

  • Assist the Management Accountant in preparing the annual statutory accounts and Corporation Tax returns for the management company, with the aim of eventually becoming self-sufficient in these responsibilities.

  • Raising monthly/quarterly management fee invoices and expense recharges

Key Requirements:

  • Effective use of Excel is a necessity, and knowledge of Yardi is advantageous

  • Good accounts payable/accounts receivables experience

  • Working towards ACCA/CIMA
