Assistant Management Accountant

Robert Half are proud to be working in an exclusive partnership with a rapidly expanding, reputable organisation in Chippenham to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant to join their finance function. This an exciting role that will be exposed to preparing the monthly management accounts, financial analysis and will collaborate/business partner with various stakeholders across the business. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone that is looking for further exposure to management accounting whilst studying towards AAT/CIMA/ACCA and be a part of a forward-thinking business that is renowned for investing in their employees and encouraging career development. This is a full-time permanent position offering a salary between £28,000 - £35,000 plus study support, hybrid working and other excellent benefits.

The Role

The main duties of the Assistant Management Accountant role will consist of:

• Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Accruals and prepayments
• Maintaining the fixed assets and depreciation
• Gross margin analysis; dealing with various amounts of data and calculating purchases/cost of products
• Collating and submitting rebate claims
• Bank and stock reconciliations
• Supporting with purchase and sales ledger when required.

Requirements

To be considered for the Assistant Management Accountant role, you must ideally possess the following skills/attributes:

• Ideally experience within an Accounts/Finance Assistant or Assistant Accountant role, with exposure to accruals, prepayments and journals
• AAT/CIMA/ACCAstudier
• Strong work ethic
• Keen learner
• Strong attention to detail
• Good team player
• Confident user of Excel
