Assistant Management Accountant / Liverpool / £30k - £35k / 15 month fixed-term / Office based / Flexible Hours / 25 days holiday

Accountable Recruitment have partnered with a city centre based SME to recruit a Management Accountant on a 15 month fixed-term contract.

Reporting into the Group Financial Controller you will be responsible for overseeing a team of 2 ensuring the monthly management accounts are completed in a timely manner.

Day to day duties will include:

  • Processing of purchase invoices
  • Preparing weekly supplier payment runs
  • Processing of sales invoices
  • Processing weekly business summaries (revenue)
  • Maintaining the debtors / creditors ledgers
  • Processing of wage reports
  • Processing of stock journals / transfers
  • Producing and processing accruals & prepayments
  • Maintaining Fixed Asset Register
  • Completing bank reconciliations
  • Assisting more junior members of the team (reviewing of work)
  • Balance sheet reconciliation for month end
  • Prepare spreadsheets and analysis work as required
  • Preparation of quarterly VAT returns
  • Preparation of monthly pension
  • Preparing the monthly reporting pack to bank and directors
  • Assisting the GFC in preparing the statutory accounts

    The successful candidate:
    - will have previous experience in a similar role
    - will be able to produce a full set of management accounts
    - will have good systems skills
