Job Title: Assistant Accountant

Location: Bristol, UK

We are currently seeking an Assistant Accountant to join a small, friendly finance team for this growing SME based in Bristol. You will play a pivotal role in managing the purchase ledger and providing support to the Finance Director. This role is fully office-based with free on-site parking.

Key Responsibilities for this Assistant Accountant role:
- Purchase Ledger: processing invoices for up to 60 suppliers, arranging monthly payment runs, reconciling supplier statements and dealing with any supplier queries.
- Credit card and cash expenses.
- Costing
- Generating internal reports
- Assisting the Finance Director in areas like management reporting and payroll as needed.

Requirements for this Assistant Accountant role:
- Fully qualified to AAT level or above.
- Strong IT skills, proficiency in financial software systems (preferably Sage Line 50, Orderwise, or equivalent), and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience in payroll preparation (advantageous but not essential).

In exchange for this Assistant Accountant role you will receive:
- Salary up to £38,000
- 20 days holiday (increasing to 25 days) + bank holidays
