Assistant Legal Counsel - Commercial Property/Real Estate

In this broad in-house role you will support the general advisory activities of the Legal Team, with specific focus on real estate, leasing and commercial contracts. This is a varied role with an abundance of opportunities to develop as an in-house lawyer working in a highly regarded, well-established team.

Our client places a precedent on learning and development and this opportunity would be a fantastic culture for a first-time mover from private practice, however applicants already in-house are also encouraged to apply.

The key responsibilities of this role will include;

Real Estate and Commercial Contracts

  • Supporting the senior legal & real estate teams in the implementation of a long-term development project.
  • Providing legal advice to a range of departments, including; Planning, Construction, Facilities Management, Operations, and Procurement with advice on and the drafting and negotiation of commercial contracts, as well as risk management, compliance and reporting.

Leasing

  • Supporting the Leasing Team on the preparation and negotiation of leases, licences and partner agreements

Simplicity & Consistency

  • Supporting the development of Legal process efficiencies and process simplification.

General

  • Supporting the Legal Director with the delivery of Legal training.
  • Active participation in our global legal team working groups
  • Legal Administration including supplier set up, contract approval and legal record keeping.

Candidate requirements;

We are looking for an individual who can display the following experience and skills:

  • England and Wales qualified lawyer with up to 5 years' post qualification experience at a law firm and/or equivalent in-house experience.
  • Good experience in Real Estate??.
  • Good communicator & team-player
