Assistant Housekeeper Manager

The Assistant Housekeeper will work closely with the Head Housekeeper by supervising the housekeeping team and maintaining the property, bedrooms, offices, and public areas to ensure the maximum enjoyment by the guests, general public and staff.

The Role:

• Check diary for upcoming events and assist the Head Housekeeper & Operations with staffing accordingly
• Assist with organising staff rotas
• Have a good understanding of cost control of staffing levels
• Check function sheets daily to ascertain any special requirements
• Maintain and update the housekeeping manual
• Have a good understanding of the housekeeping standards manual and adhere to departmental check lists
• Designate work and assist the housekeeping team with the cleaning of the bedrooms and public areas
• Designate work and assist general cleaner on a daily basis
• Ensure that all guest rooms and public areas are properly cleaned, equipped and maintained at all times and that all repairs are reported correctly and dealt with
• In-house laundry is to be carried out on a regular basis
• Operations in ensuring all staff are aware of the Health and Safety procedures within the department, with regards manual handling, COSHH and reporting of any hazards

Salary is depending on experience. In order to attain the highest salary bracket for this role, you will need to have/demonstrate all the skills and experience mentioned above in order to achieve the highest rate of pay.
