Join our client as an Assistant Financial Controller

Duration: 12-month FTC

Salary: £55,000-£60,000

Location: West London - Hybrid 2 days per week in the office

Are you ready to take your finance career to the next level? Our client is seeking a talented Assistant Financial Controller to join their team and play a pivotal role in driving financial efficiency in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

As Assistant Financial Controller, you'll have the opportunity to make a significant impact by managing funding finances, overseeing expenses tracking, and ensuring accurate reporting.

Funding:

• Manage funding-related finances, including revenue recognition and cost tracking.
• Oversee funds received and lead internal and external audits for funded projects.
• Serve as the primary liaison for funding matters.
• Ensure accurate reporting of project delivery across all funded activities.

Governance and Reporting:

• Provide secretariat services for key meetings and produce performance tracking reports.
• Maintain organised document storage for easy access by stakeholders.
• Assist the Financial Controller with audits, statutory reporting, and balance sheet reconciliations.

Controller

• Act as a backup for the Financial Controller and manage manual transactions for accounts receivable.
• Conduct month-end reviews and ensure data integrity.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to streamline processes and address technical accounting issues.

Interactions:

• Serve as the central contact for internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with government officials and industry partners to align projects with strategic objectives.
• Coordinate with project owners to ensure delivery within budget and scope.

Requirements:

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualifications preferred.
• Strong numerical proficiency with a keen eye for detail.
• Previous experience with funding agreements and governance is advantageous.
