Our client is a flourishing hospitality business experiencing excellent year on year growth and driving the business towards their next phase of expansion with 2 new units due to be opened soon. This dynamic and innovative business is seeking an Assistant Financial Controller to work closely with the Financial Controller in managing the finance function effectively and providing meaningful reports and analysis to aid commercial business decisions.

This person will join a team of 5 in finance and be the succession plan for the Financial Controller who is currently working towards Finance Director status. This organisation pride themselves on their approach to staff development, offering supported and genuine opportunities for progression alongside study support.

Key aspects of role:

- Authorising payments

- Allocating payments to balance sheet

- Balance sheet reconciliations

- Fixed assets, prepayments, accruals

- Helping FC with month end close

- P&L preparation and assisting FC with wider management reporting

- Providing cover for the Accounts Assistant
