Company Overview

You will be joining a very well-established, prestigious and rapidly growing Financial Services business as their Assistant Financial Accountant/Corporate Accountant on a full-time, permanent basis. Part of a close-knit team of 4 in finance, you will report into the Group Finance Director and work closely alongside the Group CFO. Based in their modern City of London office 4 days a week, you will have the option to work from home for the remaining day.

Role Responsibilities

You will be responsible for posting of journal entries in the General Ledger (UK GAAP, IFRS, US GAAP), monthly ledger closing process, month-end reporting, posting of Technical journals, Balance sheet control and reconciliation (including banks, reserves, intercompany balances), expense processing/payments, monthly movement analysis (including P&L and balance sheet), documentation of processes and controls, Tax computations, preparation for Audits/regulatory returns, preparing group consolidation packs, preparing financial statements and management reports, liaising with banks/suppliers/brokers and Bordereaux reporting/reconciliations.

Role Requirements

In order to be considered for this role, you will need to possess at least 2-3 years of relevant finance experience in Insurance, Audit/Practice, or Professional/Financial Services, be part-qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA and be a confident, proactive, enthusiastic and willing self-starter with a collaborative approach. You will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, have previous exposure to Group reporting/multi-currency, have a high level of integrity, possess a common sense approach and strong interpersonal skills. You will be a committed, driven, dedicated and engaging individual with outstanding communication skills and a clear passion for your chosen career path.

In Return

You will receive an annual salary of up to £40,000 (depending on experience) + full study support for your chosen qualification + benefits and this package will be regularly reviewed to remain in line with market rate.
