Ready to take your career in accountancy to the next level? Here at Wildstone Investments, we are looking for an Assistant Financial Accountant to join our fast-growing organisation. You will be working across the Netherlands, Germany and the UK, whilst assisting the Financial Accountant with all business processes. With our fresh growth strategy and new private equity backing, you will be key in helping to implement the company’s growth plan in Europe.

Wildstone specialise in acquiring and leasing property assets for outdoor advertising across the UK and Europe. With over a decade of industry experience, we are driving the future of advertising by digitising out-of-home media assets in the UK. Our portfolio includes high-quality roadside media assets that are durable and built to last.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in ensuring accurate and timely execution of quarter end accounting processes (to include full reconciliation pack) and the delivery of the reporting management pack compliant with local GAAP across all entities
  • Initiating local statutory accounting adjustments for general transactions, depreciation, accruals, prepayments, tax, financing, lease accounting and other transactions
  • Maintaining detailed analysis of costs to enable actual vs budget analysis of the FP&A team
  • Preparing of detailed balance sheet reconciliations and subsequent accounting adjustments
  • Assisting in the group consolidation process, working with existing and future systems and processes to create consolidated results
  • Assisting with the annual audit fieldwork process and work with the larger finance team to manage the local external auditors delivery to the audit plan
  • Preparing and submission of VAT Returns
  • Supporting the Financial Accountant with the accurate accounting and reporting on the debt facilities
  • Supporting Financial Accountant and external tax team in filing annual tax returns
  • Assisting in the preparation of the local Statutory Accounts, compliant with local GAAP, whilst ensuring all documentation is approved, signed and filed with local authorities
  • Assisting with weekly processes and payment approvals
  • Responsible for the testing and implementation of new system (MS Dynamics 365) for a suite of entities
  • Providing relevant financial information to German and Dutch Property Managers and assist with commercial queries

What you will need:

  • In training (nearly the end) or newly qualified member of an accountancy body i.e. CIMA, CA, ACA
  • Fluency in English and good understanding of German
  • Strong knowledge & experience of fiscal framework and statutory reporting requirements under
  • German GAAP
  • Proactive, problem-solving, taking ownership of issues and delivering high quality output to tight
  • deadlines
  • Advanced excel skills
  • Ideally, but not mandatory, experience working for a fast growth private equity business or similar organisation
