Assistant Finance Manager

Robert Half are excited to be partnering exclusively with a growing SME based in Wantage to recruit an Assistant Finance Manager. The Assistant Finance Manager will receive a salary of up to £40,000 (potentially negotiable) along with other attractive benefits including the opportunity to work on a hybrid basis.

The Assistant Finance Manager will be involved with all aspects of the finance function and therefore it would best suit an individual who enjoys variety.

Primary responsibilities -

• Preparation of monthly management accounts to local level.
• Process and prepare financial and business forms for the purpose of checking account balances, facilitating purchases, etc.
• Perform routine calculations to produce analyses and reports as requested by the finance director.
• Help oversee and manage individual accounts.
• Collect and enter data for various financial spreadsheets.
• Review and audit financial statements and reports to ensure all calculations and data entries are correct.
• Reconcile any discrepancies or errors identified by conversing with employees, customers, and suppliers.
• Collect information for and prepare payroll payments for employees.
• Assist the financial director in creating financial reports on a regular basis.
• Adhere to the company's financial policies and procedures.
• Suggest changes or improvements to increase accuracy, efficiency, and cost reductions.

Key experience and attributes -

• 3 years minimum finance experience
• Month end and management accounts experience
• Strong excel skills
• Cando attitude
• Excellent attention to detail
• Proactive individual
