My client is a friendly local business, owned by a large European Group, who design, manufacture, and install street furniture, play and cycling infrastructure products for a variety of customers including Rail, NHS, construction, commercial and individuals.

They are looking to recruit a temporary Assistant Finance Manager at their office in Adlington to cover a maternity leave to support their Finance Team. The role reports into the Finance Manager who is based in their Kent office with whom you will liaise by phone and Teams on a regular basis, the successful candidate will not be expected to travel to our Kent Office.

Key tasks include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Managing Accounts Assistants
  • Managing process for Sales - invoice processing to accounts receivable
  • Managing process for Supplier payments - invoice processing to payment
  • Managing debt collection
  • Managing expenses process
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Assisting with accounting queries (VAT, CIS, income recognition)
  • Providing finance support for the Northern team
  • Other tasks as needed (related to Finance)


Skills required:

  • Management experience
  • Qualified Accountant
  • Process improvement mindset
  • Good numerical attention to detail
  • Ability to take ownership locally
  • Experience of Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) beneficial 1
  • Knowledge of SAGE would be preferred
