Assistant Finance Business Partner

Our client is seeking an Assistant Finance Business Partner for a fixed-term contract of six months. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment where thinking outside the box is encouraged. This role requires strong analytical skills, advanced Excel abilities, and a commitment to improving financial performance and efficiencies across the organisation. The role is working with a high growth solicitors, offering lots of exposure and flexible hybrid working.

What you'll do:

As an Assistant Finance Business Partner;

- You will play a crucial role in delivering complex management information to various departments.

- You will be instrumental in driving financial performance and efficiencies across the organisation.

- Your responsibilities will include managing ongoing finance-related tasks, preparing management accounts, and providing financial support to cost centres. You will also be expected to communicate effectively with non-finance team members, building strong relationships with internal stakeholders.

-Your ability to analyse and interpret data will be key in this role.

-Work closely with the Finance Business Partner and Head of Finance, providing analysis and recommendations to improve financial performance

-Prepare management accounts and provide financial support to cost centres by reviewing monthly spend and identifying potential savings


-Support the Finance Business Partner in setting annual budgets


-Communicate effectively with non-finance team members and build strong relationships with internal stakeholders


-Provide financial support for ad-hoc requests across the business as required


-Analyse and interpret data, assisting with annual budget forecasts

Ideal candidate-

Experience in management accounting
Advanced Excel skills, including XLOOKUPS, SUMIFS and pivot tables
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
Ability to build relationships across all levels of the business
Ability to work at pace with a desire to succeed
Ability to work as part of a team
