From maintaining compliance with regulatory standards to fostering strong community connections, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of housing services.If you're ready to make a real impact, collaborate with a talented team, and drive positive change in the lives of others, we want to hear from you!Key Responsibilities Work with the Chief Operating Officer to deliver relevant customer strategies, setting the vision and leadership to the Operations Directorate with specific responsibility for tenancy, estates, housing and homeownership services. Play a key part in the Directorate and wider Octavia Leadership Team to achieve our ambitious targets Hold direct accountability for ensuring we are providing excellent, efficient and compliant tenancy services to customers, including proactive neighbourhood services with a strong focus on customer engagement Ensure we are responding to customers' evolving needs and preferences to design and deliver services, including through digital channels and more traditional ways for customers who need them. Bring knowledge and expertise into Octavia about digital and developing service options and play an active part in the organisation's transformation programme Lead and develop high performing teams. Embed an insight-driven, service culture through the teams, encouraging curiosity and innovation to identify service improvements and efficiencies, and support the teams to deliver service excellence and change Work with the Chief Operating Officer to identify, manage and monitor the key compliance requirements and risks associated with tenancy, housing and estate services and put in place effective assurance and controls with the team. Maintain knowledge of changing regulation and legislation, to prepare for additional or different compliance requirements Set and deliver budgets and performance targets for tenancy, housing and estates services through effective planning and monitoring. Identify opportunities for service excellence, efficiencies, greater value for money, and partnership or commercial opportunities for growth Design and deliver effective operational service planning, ensuring that service plans deliver the Corporate Plan and customer strategy priorities. Put in place effective mechanisms for monitoring and overseeing delivery of service plans Work with the Chief Operating Officer to represent Octavia at strategic and operational forums such as local authority forums and national interest groups, preparing and delivering reports. Act as an Ambassador for the Group - looking out for and bringing in new ideas Report to the Executive Committee as required, to provide updates on the customer service delivery or seek approval for service development. Reporting could include written reports and presentations to selected stakeholder groups, both internal and external To undertake any other duties on behalf of the Chief Operating Officer from time to time Required Outcomes of the Post Establishing the tenancy, housing and estates services within the Operations Directorate as modern, forward-looking functions, delivering excellent services which respond to customer needs and preferences Delivering high quality services to customers which support them to manage their tenancies end-to-end, places Octavia as a responsible and proactive landlord in the community and ensures we work closely in partnership with other organisations to support our customers Creating and leading high performing teams who are focused on tangible results, are great at generating and developing improvement ideas and who deliver excellent services to customers in their communities Lead by example to ensure that the teams understand the priorities and work collaboratively with colleagues across the business and are ambassadors for Octavia RequirementsWe believe every employee at Octavia has a part to play in delivering our vision and strategy, we "think customer "in all that we do. We are looking for individuals who will encompass our values and support one another in achieving their potential.Experience Proven track record of delivering improvements in service, process and performance in a challenging business environment Inspirational leadership with the ability to motivate - delivering through teams Experience of monitoring and advising on changing Government and Regulatory agendas that impact the business Demonstrable experience at working as part of a team and constructively challenging the status quo Experience of establishing effective systems and processes of control, reporting and project management Experience of change management Experience of being part of a senior Leadership Team and contributing to the wider strategic business direction of an organisation Qualifications / Skills A degree or relevant professional qualification or at least 10 years' experience delivering social housing management services Excellent communication and negotiation skills including report writing with an ability to articulate visions, goals and values to a wide audience Being positive and driven to achieve business outcomes, influencing others A naturally innovative mindset, applying creativity to issues and / or challenges; willing to take the initiative with a proven desire to succeed BenefitsThe salary for this role is circa.£85,000 per annum with up to 10% pension contribution.
