Assistant Company Accountant position at Trinity Estates

Location – Hybrid/Trinity Estates - Vantage Point, 23 Mark Road, Hemel Hempstead, Herts, HP2 7DN          

Working Hours – 09:00 – 17:15 Monday - Friday

Salary – Circa £30,000 per annum

Job Description:

The role of Assistant Company Accountant is responsible for maintaining the individual financial books and records and related financial matters of all Trinity group and related companies. Key responsibilities and tasks include:

  • Managing your own workflow and delivery effectively in order to meet business needs.
  • Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts and reporting packs.
  • Ensuring the timely processing, maintenance, and recording of all daybooks and ledgers, including sales/purchase invoices, credits, vouchers, expenses, and receipts.
  • Monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Preparation of year-end accounts with supporting working papers.
  • Budget/forecast preparation and variance analysis.
  • To investigate, report and learn from any material variances between actual and budget/forecast.
  • Internal and external reporting.
  • Posting and administration of sales/purchase ledger transactions.
  • Ensuring effective and timely communication with all stakeholders at all times.

Qualifications and Skills:

Candidates for this position should have the following skills and qualifications:

  • At least 2 years experience within an accountancy/financial environment which may include experience gained within a professional accounting practice.
  • Sound book keeping knowledge with a good understanding of accounting principles and legal/regulatory frameworks.
  • Client focused, organised and self motivated with the ability to manage and prioritise own workload and step up where required.
  • Attention to detail whilst having the ability to keep perspective and make informed decisions.
  • An excellent communicator (oral and written).
  • Highly literate with intermediate to advanced working knowledge of Excel.
