Job Title: Assistant Buyer

Location: North Wales

Salary: Competitive Salary

Summary:

• Monday to Friday, 8 am – 5 pm

• Office-based with local travel between sites as required



Role & Responsibilities:



We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Assistant Buyer to join our procurement team. As an Assistant Buyer, you will play a vital role in supporting our Senior Buyer and contributing to the efficient operation of our procurement function. Your focus will be on ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement processes while maintaining high standards of quality.



Key Responsibilities:



• Collaborate with the Senior Buyer to analyse procurement requirements and develop sourcing strategies

• Assist in negotiating with suppliers to achieve favourable terms, cost savings, and quality assurance

• Manage purchase orders, track deliveries, and ensure timely receipt of goods

• Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, pricing, and supplier performance

• Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and contracts

• Assist in evaluating supplier performance and identifying areas for improvement

• Support cross-functional teams in optimizing procurement processes

• Participate in supplier meetings and contribute to decision-making

• Handle administrative tasks related to procurement, including documentation and reporting
