HOVIS ASSISTANT BRAND MANAGER (12 Month contract)

Seven Search and Selection are exclusively partnering with Hovis on a very exciting Assistant Brand Manager 12 month FTC hybrid opportunity based at Head Office in High Wycombe.

The role:

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Brand Manager to join the Hovis team, to enable Hovis to deliver on its vision of being the best quality brand in bakery. Hovis are looking for an energetic and self-motivated Assistant Brand Manager to support the delivery of an inspiring brand marketing plan and to help facilitate the wider marketing team activities.

Working with the Hovis Marketing Team, some of the key accountabilities include;

  • Marketing Leadership

o Lead 1-2 on-going key marketing projects as agreed with Senior Brand Manager

o Effective marketing team calendar in place and diarised 12 months ahead.

  • Budget Support

o Supplier liaison & coordinate vendor set-up process.

o Raise & manage PO’s and any queries.

  • General Support

o Arrange couriers / product samples in collaboration with R&D / Supply chain teams.

  • Consumer

o Respond to queries to marketing from Consumer Care team on product or communications/social media (consulting with wider marketing team as appropriate)

  • Requests from internal departments

o Ad hoc sales requests for information/images relating to product portfolio.

o Ad hoc wider business requests for information/images

  • Marketing Support

o Order/manage Brand Merchandise

o Liaison with Senior stakeholders, Customers and Agencies as required.

o Arrange key / large internal and external meetings / events as required.

o Assist with key team presentations when needed.

o Provide Trade Show support as required.

o Support Brand Planning Process / Customer sell-in presentations and sessions as required.

o Support Product Sampling activity as required (via 3rd party agency)

The ideal candidate will be energetic and self-motivated and up for playing a key role in our friendly marketing team. The ideal candidate will need to be curious, well-organised, "entrepreneurial" and have an ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Having a passion for building brands, previous FMCG experience and an interest in food are definite plusses.

Ideal Experiences / Qualifications / Capabilities:

Essential Skills:

  • Highly organised with excellent time / task management
  • Demonstrably numerate
  • Solid administrative skills and able to work on own initiative
  • Ability to work within team environment
  • Advanced Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (MS 365 experience is a clear plus)
  • Works well under pressure within a fast-paced changing environment
  • Ability to multitask and be flexible depending on priorities
  • Experienced in dealing with highly confidential information
  • Excellent presentation and documentation skills
  • Excellent communication skills for dealing with colleagues at all levels, customers, and external stakeholders.
