Audit Senior - Weybridge

Ward Williams is a progressive firm based in Weybridge, Uxbridge and Sunninghill providing wide ranging business solutions for small and medium sized businesses. We are dedicated to delivering an exceptional service that will contribute towards our client's business success. As a medium sized accountancy firm, we provide a wide range of services including audit and accounts, tax compliance, tax planning, payroll, financial planning, HR and company secretarial.

We are looking to recruit an Audit Senior to help provide an efficient and proactive service to clients to ensure that their needs are fully met.

We provide services to clients in a variety of sectors and perform audits of charities, solicitors and various other specialism's in addition to statutory audit. You will assist Corporate Services Managers in the management of their portfolio's and with the management and development of the audit team. Reporting to the Corporate Services Managers you will be involved in the management of the audit process from planning through to completion.

Duties include but not limited to:

Examine the accounting records and practices of a business or other organisation;Plan, execute and finalise recurring audit assignments;Getting file ready for manager /assistant manager review;Work directly with the client under the audit manager;Prepare statutory accounts;Assist the audit manager/assistant manager;Supervise more junior staff both in the office and while on-site at client premises, including review of their work to ensure that professional standards are met;Work to budgets;Display rigorous project and financial management on all accounting work, control budgets

and prepare reporting timetables;

Develop strong working relationships with the members of your team and clients.

Administration tasks

dealing with internal administration as the need arise.

Experience and qualifications

2 years experience in public practice;Working towards qualification (ACCA/ACA).

Knowledge

Audit regulation and practice;UK GAAP;Working knowledge of corporate taxation.

Skills and competencies

Communication;Good written and verbal communication skills;Good interpersonal skills;Work well in groups;Computer skills and familiarity with applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word are essential;Good problem-solvers and common sense.

Further information:

The position is in the company's Weybridge office, Surrey, however a presence may be required occasionally in our Sunninghill and Uxbridge offices, therefore your own transportation would be desirable.

Package
