NXTGEN Recruitment are pleased to be working with a forward thinking and growing business based in Norwich. My Client is looking to recruit an Assistant Accountant who can come in and provide support to the finance controller. This role has a clear path of progression and succession plan will be in place for the right individual.

Reporting directly to the finance controller you will be responsible for assisting with month end accounting along with picking up some purchase and sales ledger duties. This is an exciting role where you will be working very closely with the senior management of the business and receiving one to one training as the business supports you through you're studies.

The company has gone through some very positive change recently and you will be joining a business that put time, money and effort in to their staff. It's a great time to come in and make your mark on the finance team. The business is keen to support you with your development and promotes a progressive environment.

Key Duties:

  • Assist with Monthly Management Accounts
  • Assist with Accruals, Prepayments and Journals
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations
  • Month And Year end analysis
  • Assisting the finance department and senior accounting staff members with various tasks, including preparing budgets, records, and statements
  • VAT Returns
  • CIS Returns
  • Completing Bank Reconciliations
