Assistant Accountant / South Belfast / Permanent Opportunity

Reed Accountancy & Finance are delighted to be working with a client in the property industry in South Belfast and are actively recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to join their finance team.

This is a permanent opportunity, full time office based.  The hours of work are 8.30am to 5.30pm.

Reporting to the Accountant, the role will be hands from maintaining company ledgers and daily financial transactions to assisting with budgeting and forecasting and preparing management accounts.

Specific duties will involve:

• Experience of preparing financial management accounts/reports,
• Financial analysis,
• Bank reconciliations,
• Balance Sheet Reconciliations
• Fixed asset register maintenance,
• Year-end audit,
• Budgeting and forecasting.
• Invoice processing,
• Paying suppliers,
• Nominal reconciliations,
• Credit Control & Accounts receivable
• Variance Analysis

The Person:

Applicants will have a degree in accountancy / finance or a professional AAT qualification

Applicants will have 3 years accounts experience and will be looking for the next step in their career

Applicants will have an excellent working knowledge of MS Excel and good reporting skills
