Assistant Accountant | North Nottinghamshire | Competitive Salary + Hybrid Working + Study Support
Cherry Professional are working with a manufacturing company based in North Nottinghamshire as they seek to add an assistant accountant to their supportive finance network.
If you’re part-qualified in AAT/CIMA/ACA/ACCA and looking for greater exposure to monthly management accounts but in a safe environment, this role could be an ideal next step for you.
In this role, you will get to report to a senior accountant who is very experienced with managing an team, they know how to support and teach effectively.
This company are particularly proud of the great workplace culture they have created, where the team are very collaborative and enjoy socialising outside of work hours too. In this role you will also have a good work life balance and the ability to work in a hybrid arrangement.
You do not need previous experience within a manufacturing company, but previous experience with month end and both sides of the ledger would be ideal.

Role: Assistant Accountant
Location: North Nottinghamshire

Duties include:
- Support with production of full monthly management accounts.
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Overhead reporting and stock analysis.
- Production of journals for prepayments and accruals.
- KPI reporting.
- Ad-hoc analysis as required.

This role is ideally needing someone who is:
- Part-qualified in AAT/ACA/ACCA/CIMA and keen on pursuing these studies further.
- Experienced with month end assistance and working on both sides of the ledger.
- Comfortable with excel and accountancy systems.
- Sociable and enjoys working as part of a team.
