An exciting organisation has recently approached Mitchell Adam to assist with their search for a fantastic Assistant Accountant. This organisation is based in the exciting and vibrant Birmingham Jewellery Quarter, just a short walk from Snowhill and New Street Stations and offer on site parking so are easily accessible by car. Their offices have been newly renovated and oversees one of the most interesting and trendy areas of the City and are brilliant for those who like to grab a bite to eat after work or a drink with their colleagues. The organisation are looking for an individual who is hungry to progress in their career, an individual who has strong aspirations to becoming chartered and has already completed a portion of their ACCA or CIMA examinations. The Assistant Accountant role will see you working closely with the Finance Manager and Finance Director, as you take on senior responsibilities and continue to complete month end activities and even produce management accounts.

If you come in at a higher level of experience, you will be given senior responsibilities sooner, but if you come in at a less experienced level, the senior management will take their time to ensure you develop at a healthy rate.

Skills Required
  • To be currently studying your ACCA or CIMA, and to have already passed some of your examinations.
  • To be aspirational and productive. This role will provide fantastic opportunities for you to grow and take on senior responsibilities, such as leading with budgeting and forecasting and business partnering, but it will take an individual to take the reigns to reach this level of seniority.
  • To have experience completing month end tasks such as reconciliations, analysis and posting journal's.
  • To be confident and outgoing, the organisation are looking for a charismatic individual as the company have lots of social trips including visits to their sister branches in Glasgow and London.
