Our client is actively seeking ambitious individuals to join their dynamic accounts department and facilitate their growth journey. As an Assistant Accountant, you will collaborate closely with a seasoned finance manager at the Coventry site, contributing to the daily operations of a prominent European entity. This role promises comprehensive mentorship and significant responsibilities, making it an ideal fit for a motivated trailblazer.

Working alongside the Plant Controller, your initial responsibilities will encompass managing the sales and purchase ledger, overseeing invoicing, and adeptly handling credit follow-ups. You will excel in meticulous bank and supplier statement reconciliations, progressing to handling accrued and prepaid income entries. As you master the essentials, you'll further engage in the management accounts pack, delving into fixed assets, stock management, and more.

Skills required

  • Demonstrate enthusiasm and a keen appetite for learning and assuming new responsibilities.
  • Ideally, possess AAT qualifications, coupled with foundational knowledge of entry-level accounts, and a drive to pursue ACCA/CIMA studies.
  • Confident interpersonal skills to thrive within an engaging office environment characterised by vibrant personalities.
  • Prior experience in processing accruals and prepayments, establishing a solid foundation to build upon.
