Wakefield -  Permanent - Office Based 

Elevation Accountancy & Finance are currently working with a thriving business based in Wakefield as they look to recruit an ambitious Assistant Accountant on a permanent basis. 

Reporting directly into the Financial Controller, you will be assisting with a variety of tasks across transactional finance including purchase and sales ledger, bank reconciliation, multi-currency payments, through to month end/management accounts preparation.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Managing multiple bank accounts daily
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assisting with month end close processes
  • Sales / purchase ledger management 
  • Processing expenses
  • Producing weekly payment runs 
  • Posting of credit card statements/ supplier invoices 

Key candidate requirements:

  • Previous experience within a finance role 
  • AAT Qualified (preferred, not essential) 
  • Excellent Excel skills 

This is a office based position, on a full-time permanent basis. Salary in circa of £30k per annum.
