The position of Assistant Accountant is a vital role within our team, requiring the successful candidate to offer direct support to the Finance Business Partner, and be responsible for a range of accounting tasks.

Description

The main roles of an Assistant Accountant:

  • Provide financial support to the Finance Business Partner
  • Assist in month-end closing processes and financial reporting
  • Ensure accuracy in accounting systems and ledgers
  • Participate in annual budgeting and forecasting
  • Assist in the preparation of VAT returns and year-end statutory accounts
  • Maintain compliance with financial regulations and standards
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the finance department
  • Participate in cross-functional projects, as required

Profile

A successful Assistant Accountant should have:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Proficiency in Excel and accounting software
  • Studying towards ACCA or CIMA
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy
