The Role:

Silcom Recruitment presents a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned Assistant Accountant to become part of an established client of ours, based in Reading.

The ideal Assistant Accountant will hold motor trade experience and Kerridge system knowledge.

Possess strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities & Requirements of an Assistant Accountant:

Assist in the month-end process, including the production of management accounts and conducting balance sheet reconciliations.

Manage accruals, prepayments, and reconcile the fixed asset register.

Ensure reconciliation of vehicle stocks and funding and verify reconciliation of vehicle bonuses.

Participate in the annual budgeting process, perform variance analysis, and prepare reports.

Submit monthly performance data to manufacturers, review, and organize the accounts ledgers.

Provide support to accounts clerks within the team.

Approve supplier reconciliations and reconcile bought ledger.

Review vehicle debtors, outstanding cash reports, and assist in year-end audit and tax preparation.

Demonstrate proficiency in IT, particularly in Excel.

Kerridge system knowledge highly desired.

Salary:

Basic Salary of £30,000!

Monday to Friday hours [40 hours per week].
