Position; ASSEMBLY TECHNICAN

Salary; £13.10 per hour
Planet Recruitment have registered an exciting opportunity for our Automotive client based in the Kidlington area who are seeking 3 x Assembly Technicians on a temporary to permanent basis. The successful candidate will have previous mechanical engineering experience / knowledge whilst also having the ability to use hand tools. This is a key role manufacturing and assembly of production items for multiple manufacturing sectors, including, but not limited to motorsport, automotive, military, medical and industrial applications. Completion of the assembly of production products against strict planned schedules to a very high standard of detail and quality.
Working hours are Monday to Friday 6am - 2pm or 2pm - 10pm
Main responsibilities;
- Using hand tools to assemble motorsport components
- In-build testing and validation of assembled components
- Liaising with the Team Leader / Lead Technician to deliver products to the agreed schedule
- Developing build process and build work insructions
- Working to and assisting in developing test procedures
- Reporting issues within the work area
Skillset required;
- Mechanically assembly orientated and confident
- Experience working in a machanical or electrical engineering enviornment is advantageous
- Familiarity with using hand tools (including torque wrenches)
- Being conversant with the application of adhesives (although training will be provided)
- Computer literate and proficent in using software e.g Word, Excel and Powerpoint
- Strong attention to detail
