An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Assembler and test technician for our manufacturing and distribution client in Chelmsford.

Working for one of the leading manufacturers and suppliers of process control instrumentation equipment in the UK, this is a great opportunity to join a growing and established team.

Reporting in to the Design and Purchasing Manager, your role would would be to modify, repair and test products manufactured or distributed by the company.

This role starts immediately and will go permanent for the successful candidate after a 12 week temping period.

MAIN TASKS TO INCLUDE

  • Ensure all products leaving the department meet the company's quality requirements
  • Ensure required by dates for modifications, repairs or other work being carried out are met
  • Comply with and work to the company's work instructions
  • Assist with the production and maintenance of test equipment
  • Comply with H&S procedures
  • Advise on any technical problems that arise
  • Work to agreed and set targets

You will have a strong work ethic and a proven track record in working towards and meeting targets. You must have a good working knowledge of working in a similar environment, test centre or quality control environment, and a good awareness of health and safety procedures and practices. The role involves repetitive work and you must be able to demonstrate excellent attention to detail and accuracy when working with small parts and following procedures.

If you have experience within a similar role we would love to hear from you, full training is given in accordance with their products and the desire to learn and achieve long term prospects is desired.

The working hours are 8.30-5pm with a 1 hour lunch break Monday - Friday. £11.44 - £12 per hour to start
