ASD Base Teacher
  • Payrate : £157.66+ per day
  • Location: Newport
  • Job Type: Full-time. Monday - Friday Term time  (Temp to Perm)

Reed Education are working with a school based in Newport, and seeking an imaginative and enthusiastic ASD Base Teacher to join the team. This role involves working alongside the ASD Base Manager to maximise student achievement within our ASD Base. We are looking for a candidate who is dedicated to putting students’ needs first and who is passionate about educating the whole child. The post is to commence from September 2024, with trial days and interviews taking place later this term.

Day to day of the role:

  • Deliver dynamic, high-quality teaching and learning experiences for students within the ASD Base.
  • Set high expectations to inspire and motivate students, helping them to realise their full potential.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and effective learning environment.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and contribute to the wider school community.
  • Act as a role model for students, promoting respect, enthusiasm for learning, and a positive attitude.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • A dynamic, inspirational, and enthusiastic practitioner with high expectations in the classroom.
  • Fully committed to learning, high-quality teaching, and raising the standards of all students.
  • Passionate about your subject, with the ability to inspire and motivate both students and staff.

  • Able to recognise opportunities and face challenges with a sense of humour and care for young people.
  • Capable of promoting partnerships and collaborative working.
