Pay Rate: £130 - £170 per day

Hours: Full-time. Monday to Friday.

Main Duties of theArt Teacher:

  • Collaborate with the Subject Leader and colleagues to develop syllabuses, materials, schemes of work, and lesson plans that engage, stimulate, and challenge students of all abilities, catering to diverse learning styles. This may involve taking responsibility for specific courses.
  • Ensure all lessons are meticulously planned, prepared, and delivered with clear differentiation to accommodate students' abilities and backgrounds while promoting individual student progress.
  • Contribute to the preparation and delivery of Spiritual, Moral, Social, and Cultural (SMSC) elements across the curriculum.
  • Utilise various interactive teaching methods suitable for each student's age and ability to foster a passion for learning and intellectual curiosity.
  • Deliver knowledge effectively and promote understanding through efficient use of lesson time.
  • Stay updated with subject knowledge and employ diverse teaching methods aligned with current best practices.
  • Uphold high standards of literacy and promote correct usage of standard English across all subjects.
  • Engage in systematic reflection on lesson effectiveness and teaching approaches.
  • Take ownership of professional development, actively seeking and responding to feedback to enhance teaching practices.
  • Assign homework and plan extracurricular activities to reinforce and extend students' knowledge and understanding, adhering to the school's homework policy.
  • Contribute actively to the broader school community during directed time.
  • Integrate the teaching of skills, including literacy, numeracy, and communication, into subject delivery comprehensively.

Applicant Requirements of the Art Teacher:

  • Possession of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Demonstrated evidence of effective teaching or higher proficiency during the interview process.
  • Verification of eligibility to work and reside in the UK.
  • Possession of a valid UK driving license, enabling independent commuting to and from work.
