We are seeking a dedicated Art Teacher to join a dynamic and forward-thinking Secondary School in the Rossendale area. This full-time temporary position requires a passionate educator who can deliver high-quality teaching to KS3 and KS4 students. The role offers a structured work week from 08:30 to 15:30, starting in April 2024 until just after the May Half Term break.

• Preparing, planning, and delivering high-standard Art lessons to ensure the continuous development of pupils.
• Marking and monitoring classwork, alongside setting targets for future progress.
• Establishing and developing strong relationships with pupils, parents, colleagues, and carers.
• Having a clear understanding of the needs of all pupils.
• Monitoring pupils’ progress in line with the school’s practice.
• Managing classroom behaviour effectively.

• Must have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Recent relevant experience of teaching Art at KS3 and KS4.
• Excellent classroom practitioner with strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills.
• Reliable, committed, and able to demonstrate the qualities of a good role model.
• Good interpersonal skills; trustworthy, punctual, patient, and confident when working with children.
