Job Title: Armourer/Weapons Trainer Assessor

Location: Wiltshire - Classroom based 

Salary: £35,000

Type: Full Time, Permanent

Essential Criteria (for all candidates):
  • Must hold a recognised Assessor award: D32/33, A1, CAVA or TAQA.
  • Ideally hold a recognised Teaching qualification: PTLLS / AET or above/equivalent.
  • Ideally have experience of assessing the Armourer/Weapons Apprenticeship – or experience of supporting apprentices within the workplace / on the job training.
  • Must hold solid, occupational competency within Engineering.
  • Hold a relevant Level 3 qualification in Engineering.
  • Must be flexible with travel.

Duties:
  • Assess and mentor learners working towards the Level 3 Apprenticeship in Engineering Maintenance.
  • Managing your diary efficiently to ensure timely visits and reviews are conducted.
  • Organise and maintain documentation on learners' progress.
  • Support, advise and motivate learners.
  • Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs.
  • Meet Assessor KPI’s in terms of timely visits, quality paperwork and general administration.

Personal Skills:
  • Must be an excellent communicator who is learner and quality focused.
  • Organisational skills are a must, as well as the ability to plan your time effectively
  • Confident and professional with the ability to inspire and motivate people
  • Quality driven and prepared to go the extra mile for your learners
