Area Sales Manager

£45,000 - £50,000 plus bonus and benefits

Office Leeds/ Field based covering the East of UK

My client a specialist in the packaging industry are looking for an area sales manager to cover the East of the UK. As a Sales Manager you will play a key role in managing and growing existing business relationships with also looking for growth opportunities.

You will be responsible for developing and implementing plans to ensure sales targets are met by identifying new clients and devising sales strategies. The right individual will have previous experience working in a field sales role within a similar industry.

Key Responsibilities of the Sales Manager:

  • Generate regular sales reports for the senior management team
  • Provide insights and recommendations on where improvements can be made
  • Building and maintaining strong lasting relationships with both new and existing clients
  • Attending client sites to help growth relationships and understand clients needs
  • Carrying out competitor analysis and stay up to date with market trends
  • Work closely with team members to align sales efforts and provide a great customer experience

Key experience of the Sales Manager

  • A minimum of 5 years experience working in a senior sales or account management position
  • Confident in working independently and as part of a team
  • Self-motivated and able to manage your own diary
  • Experience of running a sales area and exceeding sales targets
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills
  • Full Driving licence
