Architectural Technologist

Architectural Technologist required to support a small family-owned construction surveying practice in Leicester.

The Architectural Technologist Role

The successful architectural technologist will be able to work independently across a plethora of sectors, and gain great exposure in a variety of projects, such as Healthcare, Leisure, Residential, Commercial.

You will be expected to have a proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp and Lumion would be highly preferred.

• Lead / assist in the preparation and monitoring of planning and building control applications.
• Lead / participate in the production of technical drawings, specifications, and schedules for the development of building projects.
• Submit drawings and liaise with the Local Planning Authority and Building Control Body.
• Liaise with Structural and Civil Engineers on a daily basis to produce co-ordinated building packages.
• Review and comment on Consultants' design reports and other design information as required.
• Accurately record information issued and received to and from clients, consultants, contractors.
• Attend and contribute to progress meetings and design workshops as required.

Architectural Technician / Technologist

• Excellent working knowledge of AutoCAD & 3D rendering software (SketchUp and Lumion)
• Knowledge of UK Building Regulations, building systems and construction types.
• Excellent organisation skills.
• Strong technical skills.
• Experience undertaking detailed design work across both commercial and residential schemes.
• Ability to work both as an individual and part of a team.
• Have a strong work ethic and provide attention to detail.
• A Full UK Driving Licence and access to a car for visiting sites.
