Architectural Technician - Residential Housebuilder experience required!

£45000 to £50,000

My client started out as a family builder and has progressively grown into a well-known house builder specialising in family homes.

My client is on the lookout for an experienced Architectural Technologist with Residential/ house builder experience who has previously worked for an Architect practice or a house builder.

This role has become available due to growth, and this is an exciting opportunity for someone who is keen to progress and develop.

Duties

  • Producing standard house designs as well as technical site layouts please
  • Standard house pack designs
  • Take site layout plans to technical working drawings.
  • Produce standard library details from scratch.
  • Co-ordinate designs with external engineering consultants
  • Check, overlay and approve sub-contractor designs.
  • Set up architectural standard process and procedure.
  • Set up drawing issue and track drawing issues.
  • Offer site support with architectural drawing works.

Requirements:

  • Preference would be someone from a PLC or an architect’s practise that is used to working on the large housing developer.
  • CSCS card qualification.
  • Experience working within a technical role at a residential house builder.
  • Use of online drawing management systems.
  • Use of Revit.
  • Continued professional development and keeping up to date with changes within the industry.
  • Ability to assess architectural drawings to identify build risks and opportunities.
