Our client, a leading organization in adult wellbeing and health, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) to join their dynamic Forensic Social Care Team.

About the Role:

This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of complex service users with mental health needs and offending behaviors.
As an AMHP, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals, their carers, and ensuring public protection.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive assessments of social care needs for complex service users.
Develop and implement effective support plans based on a strengths-based approach, promoting independent living and facilitating hospital discharges.
Act as Social Supervisor for conditionally discharged clients to ensure public safety.
Collaborate effectively with multi-agency partners from health, criminal justice, and other organizations.
Prepare comprehensive reports and complete statutory documents as required.
Provide support and guidance to colleagues on complex cases, demonstrating strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
Participate in professional forums and access training opportunities to maintain AMHP warrant and professional development.
Travel across the client's area of operation may be required to fulfill your role.

Qualifications and Experience:

Qualified and warranted AMHP with a strong understanding of relevant legislation and safeguarding procedures.
Proven experience in social care assessments, care plan development, monitoring, and reviewing outcomes for complex clients.
Demonstrated experience with placement sourcing and supporting hospital discharges of individuals with mental health needs.
Experience in risk management strategies for individuals with challenging or offending behaviors.
Knowledge of Social Supervision and experience working with clients subject to Restriction Orders (a plus).
A commitment to continuous learning and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of mental health issues.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and report writing skills.
Flexibility and adaptability to work in a demanding environment.
