Applications Engineer

Reed Engineering are working with a leading manufacturer of electrical switches and enclosures. The technical sales team plays a crucial role in providing tailored solutions to our valued customers. We’re seeking a talented individual to enhance our team and contribute to our continued success.
Role Overview: As an Applications Engineer, you’ll collaborate closely with the internal sales team to address complex customer requirements. Your expertise will be essential in understanding technical specifications, designing custom solutions, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Salary Range:
£34,000 - £45,000 per annum
Key Responsibilities:
- Whilst working closely with the internal sales team to understand customer needs. If a project involves DC applications or intricate wiring diagrams, you’ll step in to provide specialized technical support.
- Designing and proposing customized solutions. This may involve creating engineering drawings, selecting appropriate materials (including metal or plastics), and considering factors like heat loss and vibration.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their switch requirements.
- Familiarity with design software is crucial.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Electrical Degree or HND
- Panel Wire Experience
- Quality Assurance producing reports explaining product functionality and performance.
