Job Title: Application Support Engineer

Role Type: Permanent - Full Time 40 hours + on call rota.

Office Location: Staines Upon Thames, remote working (office travel required once per week)

Salary: 30k - 35k

Role Overview:

On a daily basis, and as an Application Support Engineer you will be supporting clients. This is a client-facing role and you will need to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, a good telephone and email manner as well as attention to detail in the conduct and conclusion of client support issues.

You will also be involved with project deployment, client training, existing client upgrades and new client installations.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience of software support, bespoke applications and SQL - Structured Query Language
  • Excellent client management skills with a passion for service
  • Proven experience of providing training to clients
  • Networking experience and understanding of 3-tier architecture
  • Experience and understanding of APIs and Web Services Support
  • Good scripting skills and understanding of Microsoft Windows
  • Experience of business and organisational change in a complex environment
  • Experience working with Service Desk tools - Jira Service Desk/Service Now
  • Experience working with Citrix and remote servers
