Job Title: Java Developer

Contract length: 12 months

Clearance required: SC Clearance

onsite requirement: 2/d in Newcastle

Rate inside IR35: 400-450/d

role description:

The Developer will be part of a scrum team and responsible for completed development tasks on a product backlog aligned to their particular squad. The team will be accountable for building accessible software, with a focus on what users need from the service. The developer will, on a daily basis, be expected to write, adapt, maintain and support code; as well as look to continually improve the service with new tools and techniques. The developer should have a passion for solving technical problems and advising on the technical feasibility of designs.

experience required:

Minimum 3-5 Years Experience Node.js, HTML, CSS, Javascript. Cross-browser compatibility. Awareness and experience of implementing accessibility-compliant (WCAG) solutions. Automated testing, for Performance and Accessibility. Experience working within Agile teams/frameworks.

We're seeking an experienced java developer for an ongoing project in DWP.
Some experience working with older style monolithic applications is desirable, but also experienced with more modern techniques and skills like pipelines and docker.

Ideally has worked within public sector.
