THE COMPANY

This company is one of the largest gaming businesses globally who are renowned for its huge data functions and big data focus within the organisation. This team is specifically working on the full end-to-end improvement of games with a commercial focus to increase revenue per game.

THE ROLE

As a Analytics Engineer Manager, some of your main responsibilities will be:

• Manage a team fo 4 data professionals, whilst remaining hands on with the data.
• Work closely with the cross-functional data engineering team to scale the platform to ensure growth for current games.
• Define the data roadmap of this team as well as potentially take on management responsibility of the database engineering team.
• Support and build the transformation layer on top of the database, using some DBT and some orchestration tools (Airflow you will use mainly).
• Build and optimise data models to support the wider games team.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

A successful Analytics Engineer Manager will have:

• Previous management experience is ideal.
• Must have a high level of writing SQL on databases, ideally Redshift.
• Proven experience implementing and using data modelling tools.
• Degree level or higher in a STEM subject.
• Ideally, if you have any experience across: DBT, AWS, FiveTran, Athena, Glue, DataLake, Iceberg, Airflow
• Ideal if you have an interest in modern gaming

INTERVIEW PROCESS:

• 1st Stage - Discussion with the Hiring Manager
• 2nd Stage - Technical Round with C-Suite
• 3rd Stage - Final stage interview with Engineers and Senior within Analytics Engineer.
