Our client is a leading contract research organisation specialising in food & drinks testing. Due to an exciting recent partnership, they are establishing a brand-new state-of-the-art testing laboratory in Guildford and are seeking a number of individuals to build their team!

Predominantly laboratory-based, you will undertake a large variety of assays to determine contaminants, sugars and taints within wine samples, utilising HPLC and GC-MS instrumentation as well as wet chemistry techniques such as titrations and distillations. In addition to this, you will also be trained in sensory and taste analysis of wine samples. As a contract testing laboratory you will work to tight deadlines, ensuring work is completed to regulatory guidelines, as well as undertaking general laboratory maintenance such as instrument troubleshooting and calibration.

Applications are invited from enthusiastic Chemistry graduates (or closely related) with at least 6 months hands-on experience, or industry experienced Scientists with a background undertaking HPLC, LC-MS or GC-MS analyses. You must be a confident communicator and have excellent team working skills, with a genuine enthusiasm for analytical chemistry.
