Alternative Provision Lead

Location: Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire

Salary: £40,000 per year

Start Date: September 2024

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people who need additional support? We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Alternative Provision Lead to join our team. As the Alternative Provision Lead, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that students receive the support they need to thrive academically and emotionally.

This is brand new small alternative provision that caters for primary aged children. They have one intake of 12 children in the morning and a separate intake of 12 children it the afternoon. 

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategies to enhance alternative provision services, ensuring that they align with the overall educational goals of the institution.

  • Student Support: Work closely with students, families, and external agencies to identify individual needs and create tailored support plans.

  • Collaboration: Collaborate with teaching staff and other professionals to provide a holistic approach to student well-being.

  • Quality Assurance: Monitor the effectiveness of alternative provision programs, making data-driven decisions to improve outcomes.

  • Staff Development: Support a team of dedicated staff members, providing training and professional development opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Experience: UK teaching experience.

  • SEN Experience: Experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN).

  • Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Passion: A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable students and helping them achieve their potential.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Flexibility: Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and work collaboratively.
