Job Purpose

  • Ensure all administrative onboarding requirements of new staff are efficiently managed, including uniform requisitions, access to relevant company systems so that new staff have the necessary tools and are aware of the relevant requirements.
  • Handle administrative requirements for contingent workers of the ground handling agent.
  • Control and manage a comprehensive inventory of all the equipment and assets within the Airport Services Department at LHR, take regular physical stock for verification, and optimize, utilization/maintenance within budgeted figures. Coordinate with P&L, Finance for asset disposal process and approvals and with and Suppliers for physical disposal while maintaining records.
  • To cover ad hoc tasks as deemed necessary e.g., escorting VIPs.
  • Plan, schedule and control the nominations of Airport Services staff members on training courses (including On the Job training) and maintain/update training records of each employee. Responsibility for producing a monthly training plan with effective control over costs and pre & post coursework and generating a monthly exceptional training report for those employees who do not meet the required standards.
  • Assist in the general Monday - Friday running of the office. Create and maintain appropriate record and filing systems for easy retrieval and proper maintenance of records.
  • To handle the LHR staff Airport ID requests for New Joiners or renewals.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 'O’ Level or equivalent (Higher Secondary School).
  • Experience in general administration and operational experience, preferably with an airport.
  • Good organization skills and a high level of computer literacy and knowledge of Microsoft Word, Email and Excel.
  • Courses in Passenger Handling preferred.
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels both in spoken and written English.
  • Applicants must have the legal right to live and work in the United Kingdom. The Company will not aid with obtaining work permits.
