The details

• Work hours: 8.30am to 5pm with an hour for lunch
• Salary guide: £26,000 - £30,000
• 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays

Daily responsibilities

• Working with customers to successfully arrange export freight from start to finish
• Taking a hands-on approach, supporting customers throughout the process and handling queries
• Submitting accurate customs declarations through Cargowise
• Dealing directly with carriers to schedule exports in line with customer timeframes
• Providing quotes and processing invoices

Skills and experience

• Freight forwarding knowledge with a specific understanding of airfreight and exports is essential for this role, and knowledge of imports and ocean freight would also be beneficial to your application
• Understands and works within ISO compliance regulations and customs legislations
• Strong time management and organisation skills, able to schedule and coordinate freight
• Superb communication skills, able to build strong relationships internally and externally with customers, suppliers, and carriers
• Working knowledge of Cargowise would be a distinct advantage
